All Aboard! National Kitten Day at Lee Hall Depot

Join us on July 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for a purr-fectly fun day at Lee Hall Depot as we celebrate National Kitten Day with hands-on activities, adorable kittens, and family-friendly fun for all ages!

Meet Chessie, the beloved mascot of the C&O Railway, whose famous image helped make kittens a symbol of railroad history. In honor of Chessie and National Kitten Day, we’re partnering with the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter for a day filled with crafts, photo opportunities, and plenty of kitten cuddles. 

Featured Activities Include: • Chessie & Friends Puppet Show (10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.) • Crafts & Coloring Stations (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) • Chessie Photo Opportunities (10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.) • Kitten visits throughout the day from Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter

 All kittens will be available for visitors to meet and interact with. Foster and adoption opportunities will be determined by the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter based on availability.
