About The Williamsburg chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will host a commemoration recalling the James City County Resolves. On July 1, 1774, discussion and enactment of the James City County Resolves took place at Isham Allen's Ordinary near where the Lightfoot Marketplace and Wawa are located on Richmond Road. The Resolves, which banned all local trade with England, were enacted in support of the people of Boston, Massachusetts, following punitive actions taken by the British Crown following the Boston Tea Party.
