Description

Get ready to dig, discover, and explore the world beneath y our feet! Rising 1st-6th graders are invited to join the Dig-It STEM Adventure at Pearl Bailey Library, a hands-on science series all about what's hidden underground. Kids will jump into a new theme-geology, archaeology, and paleontology-as they build layers, uncover artifacts, and even create their own dinosaur skeletons. Come ready to learn, create, and get a little messy as we unearth the stories the Earth has been keeping secret.

Session 2: Archaeology - Monday, July 13 at 11 a.m.

Time to dig in! Young archaeologists will discover how real scientists uncover objects buried underground and what those finds can teach us. Then they'll begin their own excavation, digging into the "sites" created during the geology session to reveal hidden treasures.

Session 3: Paleontology - Monday, July 20 at 11 a.m.

Journey back in time to when dinosaurs ruled the Earth! Kids will learn how paleontologists study ancient plants and animals-and then build their very own dinosaur skeleton. It's a hands-on look at prehistoric life that brings big science to young explorers.
