City of Newport News Public Works is working to fill approximately 50 positions before the start of its busy season. Job seekers can apply at the event and participate in on-the-spot interviews. Benefits include a $500 CDL Hiring Bonus, free CDL Training after obtaining a CDL permit, and uniforms and boots are provided.  The event is also an Open House for the entire community, with opportunities to learn about Public Works divisions, see equipment in action, and tour the facilities.
