FREE CONCERT August 22, 2026 @ 2 PM Join us on August 22nd for an afternoon of music presented by Newport News' own Peninsula Concert Band! For 75 years, this traditional wind band has been delighting audiences throughout the Tidewater region. Our dedicated volunteer musicians represent every corner of our community: amateur and professional, teachers and students, military and veterans, all united by their love of music. Throughout our 75-year history, we've remained committed to honoring America's community band tradition, bringing the joy,connection, and transformative power of live music to audiences of all ages. We're thrilled to share our musical summer with you on August 22nd at 2 pm at the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center; 2410 Wickham Ave, Newport News, VA.
