Numerous safety protocols will be in place to assure a safe environment. If you want to donate an unloaded weapon to be decommissioned, bring it to the site in the trunk of your car. A greeter will meet you and a safety officer will inspect and then transfer the weapon to the staging area. You will be required to stay on site until the item has been cut into pieces.
