Have you ever walked by the Timberneck house and wondered what it looks like from the inside and its restoration process? Or do you want to learn more about the farmhouse's history starting in 1793? Then visit Timberneck for a free walk-in tour inside the home hosted by volunteers of the Fairfield Foundation! The tours discuss the early history of the 18th-century families buried at the site and the 19th-20th century history of the Catlett family, who built the farmhouse in 1793. The Fairfield Foundation is a local non-profit dedicated to promoting and involving the public in hands-on archaeology, preservation, and education activities within Virginia's Middle Peninsula and surrounding areas. Contact the Fairfield Foundation at fairfield@fairfieldfoundation.org or (804)815-4467 if you have any questions.
