An Irish doctor (Errol Flynn) is falsely accused of treason and sold into slavery in the West Indies. Sept 17: The Buccaneer (1958)

During the war of 1812, the pirate Jean Lafitte (Yul Brynner) comes to the aid of General Andrew Jackson (Charlton Heston) to defend the city of New Orleans from an invading British fleet. Directed by Anthony Quinn, the all-star cast includes Charles Boyer, Claire Bloom, Inger Stevens, and E.G. Marshall. 1 hr, 59 min (NR)

Sept 24: Nate and Hayes (1983)

Bully Hayes (Tommy Lee Jones) considers himself to be a buccaneer with a moral code, so when the wife of a missionary (Michael O’Keefe) is kidnapped, the pair join forces to rescue her in this fun, piratical adventure.
